Frequently Asked Questions
Have questions about the IIC Secure Wallet?
Here you’ll find quick answers about our security layers, verification process, and how we keep your digital assets safe.
How is my identity protected in the IIC Wallet?
The wallet uses a multi-layered system including KYC, biometric verification, and PUF signature authentication to ensure only the rightful owner can access and transact.
What happens if my biometric verification fails?
If biometrics don’t match, the system retries the process. If still unsuccessful, fallback validation using KYC data will be applied before blocking any transaction.
What is a PUF signature and why is it important?
PUF (Physically Unclonable Function) is a hardware-level security feature unique to your device. It prevents duplication or hacking by binding your wallet to your physical hardware.
Can I use the wallet without completing KYC?
Yes. If your wallet is not connected to a REP node, transactions can proceed without KYC. However, for connected wallets, KYC verification is mandatory for compliance and added protection.
How does the wallet notify me of suspicious activity?
In case of failed validation attempts, the wallet triggers a Yellow Card Alert that instantly notifies you of the issue, while blocking the transaction to keep your assets safe.
