Password Recovery
Resetting your password depends on whether you created your IIC S WALLET by connecting your Google or Apple account , or by writing down your Secret Recovery Phrase (SRP).
If you connected IIC S WALLET to your Google or Apple account, resetting your password will reset it across every instance of IIC S WALLET you use. For example, if you reset your password on the IIC S WALLET web extension , it will also reset the password on the IIC S WALLET mobile app.
Resetting your password will not affect your wallet data — all of your accounts will remain safe and accessible.
To reset your password, go to ‘Settings’ > ‘Security and Privacy’ > ‘Change Password.’
You’ll need to enter your current password and then set a new one. Changing your password will automatically log you out of other sessions of IIC S WALLET, so make sure you safely record your new password.
If you do not remember your password, you won’t be able to reset it. You can only regain access by opening a new IIC S WALLET instance and importing your accounts using your Secret Recovery Phrase (SRP) or private keys.
Can IIC S WALLET Support reset my password for me?
No. IIC S WALLET does not have access to your password. Your password is stored locally on your device (client-side) and is visible only to you. For your security, no one can reset your password on your behalf , so it’s vital to keep it secure and private at all times.
If you receive an error message indicating that your Secret Recovery Phrase is invalid , please contact our official support team through our Website: www.metavtz.com
